Sony Network Walkman Nwd B100

Sony have been living in the shadow of Apple when it comes to MP3 players so it comes as no surprise that they have unveiled yet another player to edge into the market. The Network Walkman NWD-B100 has finally dropped the music software SonicStage allowing for an improved user experience via a familiar 'drag and drop' interface. This simplifies the process of adding both MP3 and WMA files to the player itself.

This installment from Sony weighs only 30g and is also extremely compact. The LCD screen boasts a 3-line color display which may be one of the reasons for the average battery life, which at 12 hours for something so small seems rather demeaning. The NWD-B100 also possesses a built-in FM radio tuner, equalizer and a voice recorder.

A USB connection ensures universal connectivity to all major laptops and PC's and will be available in black, white and violet as well as a 1GB ad 2GB version. These will retail at £45 and £55 respectively when they launch next month.
